Option 1: Review/update/remove existing users

To review, update, or remove an existing user, select their name from the ‘users’ dropdown to show their user record

In their user record you can update their first/last name (used in metrics and notifications) and auth level (permissions)

Auth levels are:

  • Collect - these users only have access to the ‘collect’ page to record production data.  This is typical auth level for production operators
  • Metrics – these users only have access to the ‘metrics’ page to monitor production status and historical trends.  This is the typical auth level for manufacturing managers and production support staff
  • Collect + metrics – these users have access to both the ‘collect’ and ‘metrics’ page.  This is the typical auth level for line leads
  • Admin – these users have full access to the site, including all settings and the ability to delete the org.  This auth level should be only for a restricted few users in your org, such as IT and Manufacturing Engineer

Push the ‘UPDATE’ button to make the changes to the user record.  Note that a user cannot change their own auth level – this must be completed by another site admin

To remove a user select the user’s name from the ‘users’ dropdown and push the ‘REMOVE’ button.  This will immediately prevent the user from accessing the org

Option 2: Review/update/remove pending users

To review, update, or remove a pending user (user that has been added by the admin but hasn’t yet joined the org using the activation code), select their name from the ‘pending users’ dropdown to show their user record

In their user record you can update their first/last name (used in metrics and notifications) and auth level (permissions).  Auth level details are shown in step 8

You can also see the user’s 4-digit activation code and the expiry date (activation codes expire 1 week from issue).  This code needs to be given to the user for them to join the org

Push the ‘UPDATE’ button to make the changes to the user record.  To remove a pending user select the user’s name from the ‘pending users’ dropdown and push the ‘REMOVE’ button.  This will immediately prevent the user from joining the org using the activation code

Option 3: Add new users

Push the ‘ADD USER’ button

Fill out the form and push the ‘ADD’ button:

  • First name – this is the first name of the user you’d like to add.  This can be modified after the user is created
  • Last name – this is the last name of the user you’d like to add.  This can be modified after the user is created

Auth level – this is the authorization (permission) level you would like to grant for the new user.  This can be modified after the user is created.  Auth level details are shown above under 'option 1'

After a user is added, a pop up box will appear with the activation code for that user.  Follow the instructions in the pop up box and pass the needed information along to the user – they will enter this information to join your org
